Minor scratches on your car are inevitable due to everyday use, but these hairline scratches can be easily removed with just a few simple steps. Begin by giving your car a good wash in order to remove any dirt, dust and debris for a clean surface to work with. Make sure to thoroughly dry your car because any moisture could dilute or diminish the effectiveness of the product. Next is choosing a high quality scratch remover product, well known brands include Eagle One, Mother’s, and Turtle Wax. Using a foam applicator pad, apply a small dime size amount of the scratch remover onto the pad and rub the product into the scratched area. This process should be focused on working the product into the scratches, and the scratch remover product should seem as though it’s actually filling in the scratches. Once you have thoroughly worked in the product onto your car’s surface, take a clean and dry terry cloth and polish the area well. It’s important to use premium quality applicators and towels to insure that you do not inflict any additional scratches back into your car’s paint surface.
